Morton Plant North Bay Hospital - Recovery Center at 21808 Florida 54, Lutz, Florida.

This place is VERY ABUSIVE toward it's patients. The pediatric doctor is VERY rude and snotty. He would not talk to me for for than 2-3 minutes without escorting me out of his office. On the first day all he told me is "you will definitely be here 5 days" without listening to a word I said. He drugged me VERY badly. He fed me 6 pills a day (4 pills in the morning alone).The pills gave me headaches and made me feel tierd and dizzy. I even lost weight. It was hard to sleep at night because it was 65 degrees in the room and the beds were as hard as a rock. Taking a shower: forget it! The showers were cold because the hot water heater didn't work properly. It was also yellow around the toilet from old urin. (My restroom was filthy) The first day I was there the doctor assigned me a VERY abusive tec (named Greg) as my "one to one". The Tec would not even let me get up from my chair or talk. At some point the floor nurse (named Pam) was on the phone with my mom. I ran up to the desk and yelled hi to my mom. The tec physically grabbed me and escorted me into the "room with the comfy bed with straps". Worse yet: he started a rumor that I climbed over the counter and grabbed the phone from the nurse. I also heard him tell other tecs that "I would have torn the nurse up if he had not grabbed me" (As if I was not listening). From then on the tecs thought of me as a violent person. "Calling home" was a joke. (only 1 call a day) I told my tec that "my mom doesn't answer the phone unless you leave a message". The tec only called once and didn't leave a message. She was extremely rude and impatient. She made me take strong medicine when I asked again. This place gave me no "theropy" and didn't help me at all. The nurses and tecs were busy and didn't have time to listen to my problems. All they did was feed me pills. There were very few activities planned for us. There was nearly nothing to do all day but wait around a waiting room and watch TV. It was hard to hear the TV over people talking and they wouldn't turn up the volume past 60. (no electronic devices) The food was disgusting. The nurse was very impatient when my mom came to visit. The admitting therapist was extremely rude and did not listen to a word I had to say to him (much like the snooty "doctor") One kid threw a chair. One kid spilled lemonade all over the floor and told the nurse to clean it up. He also left his room 3 times at night. As if all this was not enough when it finally came time to leave (after 5 days: 12/13-18/2017) they wouldn't even let me check my room to make sure I had all my belongings even though they promised they would let me. The tec lied and said they put all of my belongings in 2 bags. In reality I had an important confidential piece of paper in my room that did not make it to the bag. They instead gave the paper to the doctor. This place is EXTREMELY ABUSIVE. They drug people badly. They lie to you and B.S. you around just to get you to shut up. I recommend this place to NO ONE! They don't help you at all. I BADLY WANT TO SUE BAYCARE FOR DRUGGING ME AND TREATING ME LIKE A PSYCHIATRIC MONSTER! I feel bad for the few friendly tecs and nurses that work here.
